When you spend a lot of money purchasing a house and then are prepared to spend a great deal more in extending and renovating it into the perfect home, finding the right building designer was not a decision my wife and I made lightly.

We commissioned Joe Conte to draw up the plans for our extensive home renovation approximately three years ago. We knew Joe personally and as such, we were au fait with his personal attention to detail and also, we were familiar with the beautiful work he had done on his own home.
Whilst knowing the “picture” of what we wanted in our minds, it was Joe’s amazing ability to draw up this precise picture onto paper and into working plans that made our experience so unproblematic. We highly recommend Arch Design for their design for our extensive renovations of a 1940’s vintage solid brick home in Glen Iris.Joe Conte’s compact and creative design has resulted in a major single story renovation on a standard block on an established, tree lined street.
His prompt drawing of the original plans didn’t need to be altered at any stage.
This enabled the extension of kitchen, laundry and the original bathroom to make full use of the space.
His design enabled the family room, office, en suite bathroom and main bedroom to develop a scenic aspect – overlooking and giving easy access to the new pool and spa.
We believe Arch Design complimented our planning desires and has resulted in an extension we are enthusiastic with.
